The U.S.S. Excelsior bridge is a circular command and control complex located on Deck 1, at the top of the primary hull. Near the center of the bridge is the command chair where the captain, sits. Directly in front of the command chair is the Helm and Navigation Officer consoles. Around the outside of the bridge are nine control stations and at the front of the bridge is the large main viewscreen. On either side of the complex are located the twin exits which afford access to the bridge. The starboard exit is a turbo-lift elevator and the port exit leads to a corridor. At the back of the bridge is an alcove featuring a large readout panel which displays the exterior plan view of the Excelsior. The bridge of the Enterprise-B, which is a modified Excelsior-class vessel, is a rearrangement of the bridge shown here.
